Shabana, Children’s Group Story:
Shabana is 11 years old, she is a member of Arghawan’s Children’s Group. Shabana could not attend school for a long time due to her family’s economic problems. Shabana’s family is very poor and could not pay for her school expenses. Shabana once attended school, but only studied up to second class. She was very interested in learning, and if she could have continued with school, she would now be in the fifth class. Unfortunately, her family would not allow her to continue with school. One day Khalida visited the children’s group where Shaban is also a member. They talked to Shabana about her future and the importance of attending school; but Shabana felt hopeless because she thought that her family would not allow her to go back to school. Khalida promised her to give school expense like notebooks, pen, cloths as well the school bag from Czech Republic, Berkat Organization.
One day, all the teachers decided to go to Shabana’s house to speak with her family about her future and the importance of her attending school, but her family didn’t show any interest for Shabana to return to school. The teachers did not give up, they continue to talk with the family until they finally convinced them to allow Shaban return to school. Shabana is now a student in Fatima Zahra School in the third class. She is very happy that she is going to school. Shabana said, “It was all my teachers’ effort, they supported me a lot and they convinced my family to change their mind. I want to continue my education and help the children whose families will not let them to go to school. Thank you again I will never forget about this and will always be grateful to teachers, Khalida and Czech Republic, Berkat Organization donated school bag.
